The Municipality of Huron East will be conducting its annual fall hydrant flushing program from September 21 to October 30, 2026.

Please note that the Regular Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. will be held virtually.

The Municipality of Huron East is responding to significant storm damage across the municipality.

The Municipality of Huron East advises residents that the pool at the Vanastra Recreation Centre (VRC) is temporarily closed to allow for maintenance and upgrades to the facility's mechanical systems. The closure is expected to continue through mid to late September 2026.

The Municipality of Huron East is thanking residents, community groups, committees, boards, staff, Council, and local partners for contributing their feedback to the development of the 10-year Community Services Master Plan, and is encouraging continued participation as the project moves into its next stage of engagement.

The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal Election has now closed. The Municipality of Huron East has certified the following candidates in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.

The Municipality of Huron East is advising residents that the Nomination Period for the 2026 Municipal Election is now closed. Nominations for the offices of Mayor and Councillor were accepted from Friday, May 1, 2026 until Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

The Municipality of Huron East Council deferred further consideration of the provisionally adopted Vacant Building By-law at its August 11, 2026 Council meeting.

The Municipality of Huron East would like to advise residents that the community recycling dumpster bins currently located at several sites throughout Seaforth will be removed after September 15, 2026.

The Municipality of Huron East Council has provisionally adopted a new Vacant Building By-law. Final approval of the by-law will be considered at the August 11, 2026 Council meeting.
