Notice of Intention to De-Designate a Property

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DE-DESIGNATE A PROPERTY 
UNDER THE ONTARIO HERITAGE ACT

Property: 31 Goderich Street West, Seaforth

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Huron East intends to de-designate the above noted property as a property of cultural heritage value or interest pursuant to section 32 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990,c.0.18.

The house on the property is municipally known as 31 Goderich Street, West, Seaforth, and legally described as PLAN 387 LOT 14, Seaforth, Municipality of Huron East.  The heritage elements have deteriorated beyond repair and therefore the owners have applied for de-designation.

The report considered by Council at their meeting dated Tuesday, May 7^th, 2024 can be found HERE.

Any person may, no later than June 6, 2024, serve on the Clerk of the Municipality of Huron East a notice of objection setting out the reasons for the objection and all relevant facts. When a notice of objection has been served, the Council shall refer the matter to the Tribunal for a hearing.
