Community Halls

Huron East has several community halls located around the municipality that are ideal for wedding receptions, family gatherings and meetings both large and small.  

If you are holding an event in a Huron East facility and your event is serving alcohol, you must follow our Alcohol Policy.

Under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017, all Huron East facilities are smoke and vape (tobacco and/or cannabis) free in and within 20 meters of the perimeter of the grounds.

Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre 

The Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre (BMG) is a licensed facility with a variety of venue options for you to hold your next event. Please contact the BMG directly for all rental inquiries.   

Ice Surface 

The Ice Surface is available during the non-ice season (April - August).Ice surface With a capacity of 1,200, the Arena Floor Surface is a great place to hold your buck and doe, wedding or holiday party.

Auditorium 

The Auditorium is located on the ground floor and is accessible. This spaceBMG Hall is a large hall with a capacity of 600 for a large meeting or 425 for a wedding or function with room for dancing. The rental fee includes 8 foot rectangular tables and chairs. Round tables are also available for an additional rental fee.

Kitchen

Our large commercial kitchen is equipped with 3 ovens, 8 burners, a large double door fridge, chest freezer and commercial dishwasher. Dishes and cutlery for 425 people are available.

Small Meeting Room with Kitchenette

The Small Meeting Room is located on the second floor and is accessible. A great room for smaller family functions or meetings, our small meeting room can accommodate up to 80 people.

Our kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, stove and plates & cutlery for 80.

Main Diamond Pavilion

The Main Diamond Pavilion is located very close to a park and ball diamond. BMG Pavillion

Great for family gatherings, our main diamond contains picnic tables and running water on site. Access to a port-a-potty is on site with full washroom facilities close by.

Seaforth and District Community Centre

Seaforth and District Community Centre is a fully licensed facility, designed to meet the needs of the community.  From weddings to buck and does to hockey, ringette, broom ball, to fundraisers and exercise classes. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff are ready to help meet the needs of your event or activity. The Seaforth and District Community Centre has a selection of rental space to accommodate a capacity of up to 1,000.

Board Meeting Room 

The Board Meeting Room is located on the main floor and is accessible. This space can accommodate 12-15 people.

Upstairs Hall

The Upstairs Hall overlooks the ice surface and is not accessible. This space is licensed with a capacity of up to 200 people. A perfect size for birthday parties or smaller family events. The rental fee includes 8 foot rectangular tables and chairs.

Main Hall

The Main Hall is located on the ground level and is accessible. SDCC HallThis space is licensed with a capacity of up to 477. The Main Hall is an ideal space for weddings, fundraisers and buck and does. The Main Hall is equipped with chairs, 8 foot rectangular tables or 25 round tables. The kitchen is connected to the Main Hall and is available for an additional rental fee.

Ice Surface

Vanastra Recreation Centre

Vanastra Recreation Centre is a small non-licensed community hall. The hall space is ideal for birthday parties and family gatherings. A small kitchen is also available for use.

Hall

The Hall is located on ground level and is accessible with a capacity of up to 200 people. The Hall is equipped with 8 foot rectangular tables and chairs. Located in the hall is a transverse climbing cube for children at an additional rental fee. Also available for rent is floor hockey or lacrosse equipment.

Kitchen

The Kitchen is located by the hall with a serving window to the hall. The Kitchen is equipped with 2 residential stoves, 1 fridge with small freezer, microwave and coffee percolator.

Small Community Halls

Huron East has three small unlicensed community halls located in Cranbrook, Ethel and Walton.  These small community halls are the perfect location for small events at reasonable rates.  The small halls are an ideal location for business meetings and luncheons, family celebrations or small special events.

Cranbrook

The Cranbrook Hall is located at 84335 McNabb Line. It has an upper and lower space available for rent.  The lower space is accessible and has access to a basic kitchen.  The upstairs layout includes a stage, but is not accessible. Both spaces are equipped with tables and chairs.

Ethel

The Ethel Hall is located at 44356 Brandon Road, Ethel. It has an upper and lower space available for rent. The lower space is accessible and includes access to a basic kitchen. The upstairs layout includes a stage, but is not accessible. Both spaces are equipped with tables and chairs.

Walton

The Walton Hall is located at 42655 Blyth Road, Walton. It has an upper and lower space available for rent. The lower space is not accessible and includes access to basic kitchen. The upstairs layout includes a stage but is not accessible.  Both spaces are equipped with tables and chairs.
