The Municipality of Huron East is proud to announce it has been granted $12,819,000 in provincial funding through the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund (HEWSF), part of Ontario’s Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program.

Huron County (August 19, 2025) - The Huron County Fire Chiefs have announced that the Open-Air Fire Ban, which was put in place earlier this summer due to dry conditions, will be officially lifted at 12:01 AM on August 20, 2025.
With the recent rainfall and improved conditions across the county, outdoor burning can now safely resume in accordance with municipal by-laws and any required permits.
Residents are reminded to continue using caution and to follow safe practices when burning:
