The Municipality of Huron East is proud to announce it has been granted $12,819,000 in provincial funding through the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund (HEWSF), part of Ontario’s Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program.
This funding will support the expansion of the Seaforth Sewage Treatment Plant, a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing the municipality’s capacity to support future housing development and community growth.
The Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund (HEWSF) will assist municipalities across Ontario develop, repair, and expand essential water systems, including drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. This investment will ensure Huron East continues to provide reliable and sustainable services to its residents while preparing for future growth.
