Brussels Outdoor Pool closed July 16 due to air quality
The Municipality of Huron East advises residents that the Brussels Outdoor Pool will remain closed today, Thursday, July 16, due to air quality warnings. The decision has been made to protect the health and safety of pool users and staff.
Residents looking to swim today are welcome to use the Vanastra Recreation Centre Pool, which remains open during the following swim times:
- Adult swim: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Public swim: 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Public swim: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Brussels Outdoor Pool is expected to reopen for regular operating hours on Friday, July 17, 2026, provided air quality conditions improve. An update will be provided on the morning of Friday, July 17, 2026.
