Brussels Outdoor Pool closed July 15 due to air quality warnings

The Municipality of Huron East advises residents that the Brussels Outdoor Pool is closed today, July 15, due to air quality warnings. The decision has been made to protect the health and safety of pool users and staff.

Residents looking to swim today are welcome to use the Vanastra Recreation Centre Pool (indoor), which remains open during the following public swim times:

• 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Brussels Outdoor Pool is expected to reopen for regular operating hours on Thursday, July 16, 2026, provided air quality conditions improve. Updates will be provided the morning of Thursday, July 16.
