Tree Power Program now available for Huron East residents

The Municipality of Huron East is launching the Tree Power Program, giving residents an opportunity to purchase native trees at a reduced cost through a partnership with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA), Festival Hydro and the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA).

The program supports tree planting across Huron East to help increase shade, improve air quality, enhance local green spaces and promote long-term energy conservation.

Huron East residents may purchase up to three (3) trees per household for $20 each. Residents are encouraged to order early as quantities are limited and trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Orders can be placed online until Thursday, October 15, 2026 (while supplies last) through the Ausable Conservation Authority (ABCA) website.

Tree species available include:

• Tulip Tree
• Sugar ‘Hard’ Maple
• White Cedar
• White Pine

Purchased trees can be picked up during the following scheduled pick-up period:

Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Seaforth Town Hall Parking Lot (corner of Victoria Street and Gouinlock Street)

Trees must be collected during the designated pick-up period. Any trees remaining after 11:00 a.m. will be donated to a local tree planting program.
