The Municipality of Huron East Adopts New Brand

Staff and Council are excited to announce that the Municipality has adopted a new brand and logo.

Staff and Council are excited to announce that the Municipality has adopted a new brand and logo. We recently completed a Strategic Plan, which identified the need for a municipal brand to enhance communication with residents through clear, consistent messaging. The Municipality hired Cinnamon Toast Media Inc. to lead the exercise and develop a new brand. Based on community research and feedback from the community through surveys, interviews and a focus group, Cinnamon Toast crafted a brand story; brand positioning; brand voice and tone; a tagline (Fields of Opportunity); and a logo. This new brand will be rolled out gradually. Phase 4 of the project, which is, "Brand Guidelines and Asset Development", will be completed by the end of year. This phase includes the development of brand guidelines, a brand toolkit (examples of how the logo can be used) and communication elements, including social media, stationary and newspaper templates.

Huron East's Brand Story

With a strong sense of togetherness, residents celebrate the shared values of warmth and community that define the area. Huron East is not only a municipality where connections thrive and opportunities flourish, but an inviting space to sow your roots. Huron East's historic charm adds to its unique appeal. The Brussels Dam, a testament to local ingenuity, proudly reflects the area's resourcefulness, while Seaforth's train tracks have long been vital arteries for trade and connection. Vanastra's Royal Canadian Air Force station — once a top-secret military base — marks an intriguing chapter in Huron East's historical narrative.

As the community evolves, it embraces growth opportunities while maintaining its small-town allure. Positioned close to large urban centres like London and Kitchener-Waterloo, Huron East is poised for development. With a focus on enhancing local infrastructure and promoting its scenic beauty, Huron East offers opportunities to connect, celebrate, and cultivate a bountiful life.
