Seaforth Homecoming 2025 receives Award of Excellence at 2026 OBIAA awards
Seaforth Homecoming 2025: Working Together for Success has been recognized with an Award of Excellence at the 2026 Ontario BIA Association (OBIAA) Awards, celebrating the community-wide collaboration that helped make the event a standout success.
The Award of Excellence recognizes initiatives that strengthen main streets and downtowns through innovation, partnership, and community impact. Seaforth Homecoming 2025 brought together local businesses, volunteers, organizations, and community partners to welcome visitors, energize the downtown core, and showcase the spirit of Seaforth.
The Seaforth Homecoming Committee led event planning and coordination, working closely with downtown businesses and community partners to deliver programming, logistics, and volunteer support throughout Homecoming 2025.
“This recognition belongs to everyone who rolled up their sleeves to make Homecoming 2025 possible: our businesses, volunteers, sponsors, and partners,” says Taralyn Cronin, Economic Development Officer. “Working together, we created an event that strengthened our community and made visitors feel welcome.”
The event’s success reflects the power of collaboration and the shared commitment to a vibrant, welcoming community.

Seaforth Homecoming is a community-led celebration that brings residents, families, and visitors together through local programming, downtown activities, and community events. The 2025 Homecoming held special significance as it marked Seaforth’s 150th anniversary, creating a once-in-a-generation opportunity to celebrate the community’s history, people, and shared pride. The Seaforth Homecoming Committee is a volunteer group that organizes and supports the planning and delivery of Homecoming activities, working with local leadership, community organizations, and business partners to showcase Seaforth and strengthen community connections.
