Recreation Facilities Attendant
Permanent Part-Time Position
The Municipality of Huron East is looking for enthusiastic and dependable students to join our Recreation team!
Huron East is a community of approximately 10,000 residents located in beautiful Huron County, offering a mix of vibrant communities, rural areas, and thriving farmland. Located just 30 minutes west of Stratford and an hour north of London, Huron East is a great place to work, learn, and get involved in your community.
About the Opportunity
As a Recreation Facility Attendant, you will help keep our community’s recreation facilities, parks, and outdoor spaces safe, clean, welcoming, and ready for residents to enjoy.
This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain valuable work experience, develop practical skills, and build their resume while working in a community-focused environment.
Your work may include supporting operations and maintenance at:
• Arenas and recreation facilities
• Community halls
• Swimming pools
• Tennis courts
• Soccer fields
• Baseball diamonds
• Parks and open spaces
You may also assist with general cleaning, facility set-up and take-down, grounds maintenance, customer service, and other recreation-related duties.
We are looking for students who are:
• Dependable, responsible, and willing to learn
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Friendly and able to interact positively with members of the public
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Interested in gaining hands-on experience in recreation, facilities, customer service, or municipal operations
Applicants should have some high school or post-secondary education. Training will be provided as required, and successful candidates must be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR-C.
Reliable transportation to and from work is essential.
