Municipality of Huron East launches public survey for Community Services Master Plan

Survey open from June 11 – June 25, 2026

The Municipality of Huron East is inviting residents to share their input through a community-wide public survey as part of the 10-year Community Services Master Plan.

The survey is now open from Thursday, June 11 to Thursday, June 25, 2026, and provides an opportunity for residents, community groups, and visitors to help shape the future of parks, recreation facilities, programs, and community services across the municipality.

The Community Services Master Plan will guide long-term planning and support informed decision-making to ensure services continue to meet the evolving needs of the community. Feedback collected through the survey will help identify priorities, assess current and future needs, and inform recommendations.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the survey and provide feedback on a range of topics, including programs, facilities, parks, cemeteries, and service levels.

“Community input is a key part of this process,” says Jessica Rudy, CAO. “The public survey gives residents an opportunity to share their experiences, identify what is working well, and highlight where improvements are needed. This feedback will help ensure the Master Plan reflects the needs and priorities of our community.”

The survey can be completed online at www.huroneast.com/CSMPsurvey. Hard copies of the survey are also available at the following locations:

  • Town Hall (72 Main St. S, Seaforth)
  • Seaforth & District Community Centre (122 Duke St., Seaforth)
  • Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre (800 Sports Dr., Brussels)
  • Vanastra Recreation Centre (26 Toronto Blvd., Vanastra)

Additional engagement opportunities will continue throughout the project, including participation at community events and a future public workshop.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed and participate throughout the process. Project updates, engagement opportunities, and background information will be shared on the Municipality of Huron East website (www.huroneast.com) and on social media: Facebook (facebook.com/HuronEast) and Instagram (instagram.com/huron_east).
