Municipality hosting Conversations with Council event for 2026 budget

The Municipality of Huron East will host an informal drop-in Conversations with Council event called to encourage discussions about the 2026 municipal budget. This drop-in event is designed to provide residents with an opportunity to learn about the budget process and offer input on priorities for the year ahead in an informal setting.

The 2026 budget will guide decisions on essential services, infrastructure improvements, and community programs that impact daily life in Huron East.

Taking place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the event will be held at Town Hall Council Chambers (72 Main St. S, Seaforth). Council members and municipal staff will be available to answer questions and discuss ideas about the 2026 budget.

Complimentary refreshments will be available.

“Community input is essential to building a budget that reflects local priorities,” says Municipality of Huron East Mayor, Bernie McLellan. “Conversations with Council is a chance for residents to speak directly with Council and staff in an informal setting. We look forward to hearing ideas and answering questions.”

A draft staff budget workshop with Council will also be taking place on Tuesday, December 2 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall Council Chambers.
