Huron East winter parking restrictions in effect November 1 to April 15

The Municipality of Huron East is reminding residents and visitors that overnight parking is strictly prohibited on all municipal streets and roads between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., from November 1 to April 15.

This seasonal restriction is in place to ensure safe and efficient snow removal operations during the winter months. Vehicles parked overnight may obstruct snowplows and pose safety hazards for both operators and the public.

Enforcement measures may include:

• Issuance of parking tickets
• Towing and impoundment of vehicles

The Municipality enforces this by-law under the authority of the Huron East Parking By-Law No. 068-2025, in coordination with the Ontario Provincial Police and Municipal By-Law Enforcement Officers.

Additionally, please ensure that garbage and recycling wheelie bins are not placed on sidewalks or roadways, as this may obstruct snow removal operations.
