Municipality of Huron East declares Significant Weather Event

The Municipality of Huron East is declaring a significant weather event effective immediately and until further notice, due to current weather conditions.

Road and sidewalk maintenance will continue, but it may take longer than usual to return them to normal conditions.

If you must travel today, please use extra caution as it may take crews longer than usual to clear Municipal streets and sidewalks.

Huron East facility closures due to significant weather conditions December 29, 2025

Please note changes to the following facility operations on Monday, December 29, 2025 due to significant weather conditions:

  • Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre (BMG): Closing at 5:00 p.m.
  • Seaforth & District Community Centre (SDCC): Closing at 5:00 p.m.
  • Vanastra Recreation Centre (VRC): Remining closed for the day


These facilities are expected to reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
