Daycare Support Person Casual Part-Time Position

The Municipality of Huron East, a dynamic and dedicated community of approximately 10,000 residents, is seeking applications for a key role within our team. Under the Municipality of Huron East, the Vanastra Early Childhood Learning Centre in Clinton, ON is looking for a casual part-time educator.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Daycare Manager. They are responsible for proving direct supervision of children in a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and socially competent, and developmentally appropriate environment through the implementation of planned programming. They will execute the program and activities of the Centre as directed by the Manager, while adhering to legislative policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the children and coworkers.

The position is intended to cover vacations, leaves, and other unplanned absences at the daycare centre, so the candidate is expected to be available for calls on short notice.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma. First Aid CPR-C and AED, updated immunization and health assessment as per the local Ministry of Health.

This part time position offers a competitive salary, access to an Employee and Family Assistance Plan, and the opportunity to enroll in the Municipality’s pension plan. The salary range for this position is $21.20-23.87 per hour, and depends on qualifications and experience.
