Community invited to “Trash Dash” clean-up in Huron East to celebrate Earth Day

Event taking place on April 22, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Residents of Huron East are invited to roll up their sleeves and give back to the community during the Trash Dash Community Clean-Up, taking place Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., in recognition of Earth Day.

The Trash Dash is a family-friendly community event encouraging residents to help keep Huron East clean and beautiful by collecting litter along designated routes in Brussels, Seaforth, and Vanastra. Participants can drop by one of the event check-in locations to receive gloves, garbage bags, and sign up for a route before heading out into the community.

Check-in locations include:

  • Brussels Library: 402 Turnberry St., Brussels
  • Huron East Municipal Office: 72 Main St. S, Seaforth
  • Vanastra Recreation Centre: 26 Toronto Blvd., Vanastra

Refreshments will be available for participants at each location.

The Trash Dash Community Clean-Up is supported by local sponsors Brussels Foodland, Seaforth Foodland, and Eric Cox Sanitation Equipment and Supplies and aligns with Huron East’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and environmental responsibility.
