Aquatic Facilities Supervisor (Full Time, Permanent Position)

The Municipality of Huron East is a progressive and growing municipality of approximately 10,000 residents. Located in beautiful Huron County, Huron East is a blend of vibrant urban areas, rural communities, and productive farmland. Located 30 minutes west of Stratford and one hour north of London, Huron East provides an impressive level of services and opportunities for our residents. Under the Municipality of Huron East, the Vanastra Recreation Centre in Vanastra, ON is looking for a permanent, full time Aquatic Facilities Supervisor.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Manager of Parks and Recreation. They are Responsible for the facility’s day to day program and mechanical operations, ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and attractive condition. The person responds to inquiries from the public, and provides excellent customer service. The successful candidate will organize and facilitate recreational programs, facilitate training, and assist the manager in scheduling and supervising staff.

The successful candidate will be a Certified Pool Operator, Certified Recreation Facilities Professional, or have a Parks and Recreation Management Certificate. They will be a Lifesaving Swim Instructor and Lifesaving Instructor and a Lifesaving National Lifeguard.

The person must possess and maintain a valid Class G Driver’s License and must have and maintain a clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector. The candidate will be a Certified Water Fitness Instructor or have willingness to become one.
