Choose the path that is right for you!

A picture of the cover of the Huron East Tours and Trails Guide.

Huron East has well-maintained off-road trails, which can be enjoyed year-round! The G2G Trail, which connects Goderich to Guelph, is an excellent cycling trail with a flat surface consisting of compact stone dust through Huron East. Another great cycling trail is the Atwood to Henfryn Trail, which is a 6.5km trail that connects Henfryn to Atwood and Listowel.

If you are looking to stick to sidewalks, experience our self-guided historical walking tours in Brussels, Seaforth and Vanastra (a former top-secret military base). Also explore the beautiful village of Brussels by following the Brussels Fair Door Trail.

Download the Huron East Tours and Trail Guide (low resolution copy) or request a printed copy and start exploring today! If you are local, pick-up a copy at the Municipal Office; Vanastra Recreation Centre; Brussels or Seaforth Library Branches; or at a business in downtown Brussels or Seaforth. Be sure to download the "As Recommended by the Locals" Visitor Itinerary for places to eat and things to see and do while you are here and visit our "Things to See and Do" page for more tourism information, including where to find washroom facilities.

Our Historical Walking Tours are also now on Driftscape! Visit their webapp or download the Driftscape App from your App Store!

Brussels Fairy Door Trail

The fairies of Brussels invite you to come and explore their unique village by following the Brussels Fairy Door Trail! From Homecoming Park (445 Turnberry St. Brussels), embark on your adventure by following one or more of our three routes! Search for fairy doors and fairy homes and gardens along these routes. Each door has been lovingly made and decorated to fit the fairy that lives in it. You will find them nestled against trees along the road or by businesses, churches and community facilities.

The fairies ask that you please respect their space and not touch them, their homes or their belongings as they could lose their magic! Keep in mind that fairies do move around, so please move on to another location if you do not see any. For more information, please see the Brussels Fairy Door Trail Facebook Page.
