Pay a Parking Ticket

The Municipality of Huron East provides clear guidelines for paying parking fines and requesting a trial if you wish to dispute a ticket.

You must pay your parking ticket within ten (10) days of the infraction date to avoid additional fees or legal consequences.

Late payment consequences

If payment is not received within 10 days and no trial request is submitted:

  • A Notice of Impending Conviction (NIC) will be mailed to the vehicle plate owner.
  • An additional $11 fee will be added to the ticket.
  • If payment is still not received by the NIC deadline, the ticket will be sent to Provincial Offences Court, and all payments must be made through the Court.

Failure to pay the fine after conviction will result in:

  • Suspension of your Ontario Vehicle Permit renewal.
  • No new permit issued until all fines and court fees are paid.

Requesting a trial

If you wish to plead not guilty:

  • Select Option 2 on the back of your ticket.
  • Submit it to the Municipal Office (72 Main St, Seaforth ON, N0K 1W0) within ten (10) days of the infraction.
