If you are interested in starting a business, we have many supports and resources available to assist you. Electricity

Electricity is provided by Festival Hydro (Brussels and Seaforth) and Hydro One.

Education and childcare

There are four schools in Huron East: Northwoods Elementary School, Seaforth Public School, St. Columban Catholic School and St. James Catholic School. Students attend high school in neighbouring communities.

Healthcare in our area is coordinated through the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA), which brings together four hospitals—Clinton Public Hospital, St. Marys Memorial Hospital, Seaforth Community Hospital, and Stratford General Hospital. Working together, they make it easier for patients to get the care they need, when they need it.

Emergency Services for Huron East are provided by Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and the Huron East Fire Department. Our community features an indoor pool at the Vanastra Recreation Centre, outdoor pools in Brussels and Seaforth, and a splash pad in Seaforth.
