Dog tags

If you're a new resident or have recently welcomed a new dog into your household, you can easily apply for a Dog Tag using our convenient online Dog License Form. Each tag is designed to stay with your dog for its entire lifetime.

Please note, annual invoices for dog tags will no longer be sent out. We count on our community members to renew their licenses annually. By renewing, you help ensure that lost pets are swiftly returned to their families and contribute to supporting community animal programs.

How to pay

The annual payment due date is March 28.

You can choose from the following payment options:

  • In person: Pay with cash, cheque, or debit at Town Hall
  • E-transfer: Send to payments@huroneast.com
    • Include "dog tag renewal" and your address in the message section
  • Drop box: Located at the front of Town Hall
    • Please include a note with "dog tag renewal" and your address

Note: Dog tag payments must be made separately from property tax and utility bills.

Keep your information up to date

It is the resident's responsibility to inform the municipality of any changes, including if you no longer have a dog. Please contact the office to report this update.

Dog owners must provide rabies vaccination information to the municipality upon request.
