The Operations & Planning Coordinator provides administrative support to the Director of Public Works, Chief Building Official, Fire Chief, and Director of Community Services. The successful candidate will oversee and provide support to the Operations Administrative
Assistant. They will provide general information about the application process to applicants and answer routine questions regarding forms and procedures. The successful applicant will assist the public with the completion of applications, forms and other documentation in connection with governmental services.
What we’re looking for:
- Post secondary degree or diploma in business, administration, planning, municipal government, or a related program
- Planning courses though AMCTO, or municipal planning experience considered an asset.
- Office Management training or certifications
- Knowledge or experience in drinking water quality management standards and planning
- A minimum of five (5) years of office administration experience with emphasis on customer service, public relations, municipal planning processes and communication
- Experience working with job related software (Microsoft Office, Great Plains, Citywide, Land Manager, etc.)
- Able to deal with the public with diplomacy and tact
- Must ensure a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism at all times
