Preparation steps

By taking a few simple steps today, you can become better prepared to face a range of emergencies - anytime, anywhere.

Step 1 - Know the risks

Consider the risks that might be around you.  View potential risks in our region through the Government of Ontario website.

Step 2 - Make a plan

It only takes 20 minutes to complete a personalized plan for your family.  To create your plan online, view the Government of Canada website.

Step 3 - Prepare a kit

In an emergency, you will need some basic supplies.  Make sure your kit is easy to carry and everyone knows where it is.  View a short video on how to prepare your emergency kit.
