Huron Perth Public Health is the lead agency working with the Ministry of Health, Public Health Ontario and healthcare providers to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and take actions as appropriate.
Huron East is following recommendations from Huron Perth Public Health to ensure we are prepared to respond to the situation as it evolves.

The Municipality of Huron East is taking steps to ensure the health and safety of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. These include but are not limited to:
All Huron East facilities are currently closed to the public. Some services remain operational and will be delivered in a way that protects the health and safety of our residents and staff.
Please note, municipal staff remain in place at some facilities and are offering limited services during this closure.

Curbside garbage and recycling will continue as scheduled.

Status Water and Sewer services are an essential service and are currently operating as normal.

Facility and Hall Rentals, Recreation and Programs |
Status
All Municipal Facilities are currently closed to the public.

Huron East Parks, Playgrounds, and Pools |
Status The following parks are now open to the public, Elizabeth Park, Victoria Park and Brussels Community Park. Please note play structures remain closed at this time.

Leaf and Yard Waste |
Status Leaf bags and curbside pickup are not being offered at this time. The Compost Site is still currently open for those who wish to take their own leaves and compost, the drop off site is at 79522 Hanna Line, Harpurhey and 108 Turnberry Street, Brussels.
Only leaves, brush, grass clippings and kitchen compost are acceptable at these facilities. Plastics, metal, lumber, cement, tires or other garbage are not accepted.
