All Huron East indoor sport and recreational fitness facilities including gyms, are now open. Moving back into a modified Step 2 of Covid -19 Roadmap.

Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre

There is a lot of fun in the sun at Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre (BMG) pool. The facility features an outdoor 20m heated pool with a diving board and accessible change room facilities. The pool area also has an adjoining covered viewing and picnic area. Swimming Lessons are every day Monday to Friday for 2-3 weeks.  

Please note: Unattended classes can not be made up on different days.

Level 1 to 10

 Private Lessons

Private lessons will be offered the weeks of July 4th - 13th and August 2nd - 11th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (noon).

Private lessons can have up to 2 participants maximum. A minimum of 8 lessons must be booked.

Lessons are 30 minutes long and $31 per lesson.

Vanastra Recreation Centre 

Vaccine passports and masking requirements have been removed.

Covid-19 Admission Standards

No worries about the weather or changing seasons.  The Vanastra Recreation Centre is an indoor pool open all year round.  The 25 meter, 4 lane heated pool, with a diving board, Tarzan rope and slide will provide a delightful swimming experience.

Tarzan rope is closed due to Covid-19.

How do I register for swimming lessons?

Group Lessons

When you have determined what level, day and time you would like to register, please call 519-482-3544 or email vrc@huroneast.com

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available for various times throughout the schedule, please call 519-482-3544 to book a time slot.

How do I pay my registration fees?

Your fee's are due at the time of registration.  For your convenience, we accept e-transfers, cheque or cash.  Please send e-transfers to payments@huroneast.com. The password is "recreation". Please add who the registration is for, the program, and the start date in the payment notes. 

What if my child has to miss a lesson?

We understand that lives are busy and things may come up unexpectedly.  We will allow for 1 make-up lesson per session. 

For Private Lessons, we will be happy to reschedule your make-up lesson on a Sunday during the session that you are signed up for.  Please call to schedule your Sunday Private make-up lesson.

For Group Lessons, make-up classes will be available on the Sunday two weeks prior to the last scheduled lesson.  

Please keep in mind that make-up lessons are limited to 1 make up lesson per session and are available only on Sundays.  We hope this gives you peace of mind knowing you can miss a class without drastic consequences or lose on registration fees.
