Food, Glorious Food….

The Rollin’ Roaster has rolled into Downtown Seaforth and things are starting to cook.

Scott’s Story:

Scott Saunders cuisine adventure started with a good education—via the University of Granny & Mom. It’s been said that the best cooks have an intuitive way with food. And that was most certainly the case with Scott’s role models.  From his love of cooking (could it have been genetic?) sprang an important innovation designed with a friend—The Roaster. This oven on wheels was soon turning out delicious whole hogs, back ribs, and roasts for family and friends. Scott was then asked to prepare a pig roast as a commercial undertaking. And the rest, as they say, is sizzling history.

2400Scott and wife Niki make an awesome team, along with their wonderful staff.

Following a decade as a part-time operation, the Rollin’ Roaster catering business was launched as a full-time enterprise in 2013, and within a couple of years had outgrown its original location. In addition to wonderful BBQ meals from The Roaster (spring to fall), the menu has expanded to complete banquets, from hors d’hœuvres to dessert. Scott and his team cater any and all events that involve food—weddings, anniversaries, reunions, stag & does, birthdays, funerals and community events.—serving classic dishes as well as trendy specialties from a broad menu, at locations as far away as two hours from their bustling kitchen in Seaforth. What event isn’t made better with appetizing fare?

2407The Rollin’ Roaster storefront (former Flower Magic) also offers oven or microwave-ready home-cooked meals for active families, and hard-working business folk, whether it be a pan of Scott’s specialty pulled pork, tasty lasagna, or a complete roast beef meal with potato and vegetables. There are even take-out baked goods for dessert.

So let Scott Saunders take meal prep off your plate. Given his mission to “feed people good food,” you’ll be very glad you did!
